Don't mean to hog the blog. Or forum (or whatever). I've never been interested in any either sort of online interaction, but food and wine, i am all about that.
went to eugene oregon this past week and had some Oakshire Beer. Wow. The "Ill Tempered Gnome" and "Espresso Stout". Knocked my socks off! I usually get 6-packs so I don't browse the 22's. Has anyone seen Oakshire around here?

They are yummy. I called them a few days ago. They don't sell outside of Oregon at this point. So yet another reason for a road trip to Portland. I wish more people were using this forum. I have never been in a chatty room, blog thing. But food and drink I love. Hopefully more folks will join in. How many members do you have?
We have a couple thousand members at this point, but I know a lot of people are shy about using the forums for the first.
We're open to suggestions for what would get people using the forums. If only we could give free beer to all forum users. :)
So, any suggestions for a promotion to get people using the forums?

Several thousand???? Are you kidding?? I thought there were about 10 (just b/c no one never writes in the forum! I love the forum. I have never used a chat room or anything. EVER. But I am passionate about food and finding tasty but cheaper place to eat. So, yeah, if it is only me in the forum, that is a little sad. i'll put on my thinking cap. do you have any idea how many folks are logging on to the forum?

I dunno,Dan, I think you're on to something with this free drink thing. Actually, I think it's time we had an official ECEat-up! (like we talked about in the blog a while ago). And how 'bout, any user who comes out gets a beer on us! Sistah.spinstah, you down?
But where and when? So many great brew pubs to choose from, but I have been dying to try out the tamales at 9lb Hammer, so maybe there! And I suggest Tuesday night or Friday night next week.

i'm down for beer. what about 2 beers in georgetown. i went there this past weekend and it was fun. a great space, nice brewers... really into their craft. delicious beer.
i like the Hammer. but on a friday night it would be pack-ed!
anyway i'm down. 'bout to post again. what is wrong with people???
