Even as arson fires continue to plague the Greenwood neighborhood, one destroyed business is ready to rise again.
Burnt down on Oct. 23, the Green Bean Coffee House has found a new home at Sip and Ship’s Greenwood location – 8560 Greenwood Ave N. The owners of S&S have generously agreed to let Green Bean take over the coffee operations there with a grand re-opening scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14.
Starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, customers old and new are invited to visit the new Green Bean home and participate in a good ‘ole “mugging.” More precisely, they want you to bring in a mug from home, have a cup of coffee and then leave the mug in their dish bin to help them rebuild their quirky collection of mugs.
The fire that destroyed the Green Bean Coffee House also spread to three other restaurants – Szechuan Bistro, C.C. Teriyaki and Pho Tic Tac. Of the three, Pho Tic Tac can still be found at their Shoreline location: 14515 Aurora Ave. N.
